Communications & Behaviour Policy

Trinity Village is committed to fostering a respectful and harmonious living environment for all residents and those who work in the Village. To uphold these standards, we will employ the policy outlined below in response to any inappropriate behaviour, including harassment, threatening behaviour, abusive language or aggressive communication. If a resident engages in unacceptable behaviour, the Trinity Village Estate Team reserves the right to impose temporary or permanent communication restrictions on that person or people.

In the event that a resident displays inappropriate behaviour towards a member or members of the Trinity Village Estate Team, the Estate Director will consider the severity of the issue, and may then introduce communications restrictions on that resident, the first stage of which is to outline by email:

  1. The reason for any restrictions: a clear explanation of why the resident’s behaviour is considered unacceptable.
  2. Any action taken: information on the specific restrictions being applied, including whether they are temporary or permanent.
  3. Time limits: if applicable, the duration of the restrictions.

The consequences may include, but are not limited to:

  • A written warning: this may be introduced in response to an issue deemed minor, whereby the resident will be warned that a repeat of the same behaviour will result in an escalation of the issue and the potential for further communications restrictions to be introduced.
  • On-going communication restrictions:
    • Communications between the Estate Team and resident may be restricted to written communication only, i.e. email only; with no face-to-face or phone communications permitted.
    • A single point of contact in the Estate Management Team will be designated to correspond with the resident; communication with other members of the Estate Team will not be permitted.
  • Restricted contact: communication between the resident and Estate Team may be limited to specific times of days and days of the week.
  • Refusal of further contact: in extreme circumstances, and where the issue persists, the Estate Team have the right to refuse to have any contact with the resident.
  • Any other necessary actions to enforce this policy
