When the lockdown started, nobody knew what lay ahead. What we did know was that many Trinity Village residents might need help during isolation.
So, in the run-up to the lockdown all those weeks ago, TNRA appealed for people willing to help. The response to the shout-out was extraordinary; in no time, over 60 volunteers had come forward offering their help.
Now, almost three months on, when requests come in, an alert is sent to the group. An available volunteer is matched to the job in hand, typically food shopping or medicine collection. Our group has now supported more than 10 Trinity Village households and has aided the Waterloo Food Bank with an urgent delivery of food boxes to a Rotherhithe charity, with items donated by Trinity Village residents.
We can only thank you all for your help and generous spirit during these difficult times; it’s what makes Trinity Village the unique and special place that it is.
Finally, if you do find yourself in need of anything whilst in self-isolation, we can help. Please contact Clive on either 020 7407 8249 or 07507 558636 and leave the rest to us.
