Tom Sallis, estate manager, has been in post here in Trinity Village for 18 months. He joined the team at the management office with 10 years of property management experience in London; notably for Grosvenor Estates in Mayfair.
Tom’s working day starts at 8am when he opens up the office and checks what issues have come in overnight. He directly manages over 200 homes with the mix of families, young professionals and retirees all having different needs. Says Tom: “We’re lucky to have a dedicated team of on-site contractors (2020 Services) that we can call on to deal with almost all property management matters and response times are usually excellent. It’s the job of the management office to prioritise and instruct contractors accordingly.”
Over the winter months the most common and urgent issues relate to heating, while the wet weather earlier in the year unfortunately resulted in a few leaks. However, with summer approaching, Tom notes that Trinity Village comes into its own and the garden squares make it a wonderful place to live and work.
He says: “One of the most rewarding aspects of working in Trinity Village is the opportunity to work with such historic property. Managing 200-year-old buildings provides a range of unique challenges and it’s heartening to know that the work we do is adding to that rich history - and preserving the estate for future generations.”
Out of work, Tom’s time is mainly occupied trying to keep up with his young daughter Grace, who he says takes after his wife Elise and seems unable to stay in one place for more than a minute! “We all support Liverpool, although I’m trying to brainwash Grace into supporting Wales at rugby!”
