Shaun Roberts joined the team as the new Village Manager from the beginning of this year, taking over the role from Stephen Wilcox who vacated the post after three years.
Shaun brings extensive experience with him to the job, having worked in the residential property sector for more than 21 years.
“Having been in this field for some time, I have learnt many valuable lessons. My career has taken me from negotiator to business owner; with the last thirteen years spent running my own estate agency in Bloomsbury.”
As a result, Shaun is not new to the specific considerations involved in the preservation and maintenance of Georgian buildings, nor to the particular requirements of modern ones.
Shaun’s career has kept pace with the many key legislative and market changes affecting the property sector, saying: “I believe that the disparate relationship between sales values and salary levels in the UK will only strengthen the requirement for good quality rental property.”
Having sat exams with the Association of Residential Letting Agents, he achieved one of the highest results of the year, with ARLA subsequently asking if he would consider training others—for them!
Shaun is married and has a 3-year old daughter called Jasmine. Is he wrapped around her little finger? Of course! When not enjoying time with his family, Shaun is interested in all things car-related. He is a member of Goodwood and for the past 15 years, the TVR Car Club. This summer, with his family, he will tour the North of Italy by car and visit some of the more prestigious factories, such as Ferrari & Maserati.
Shaun has also achieved a high level in jujitsu and has ambitions of achieving his black belt within the next year.
